The Levinsky compound is part of the planned Green Line works for the Tel-Aviv Light-Rail. The site extends from the Mount Zion Boulevard / Shivat Tzion Street junction to Hashomron Street in Tel-Aviv.
Proposed works include a 190m long entry portal to the underground portion of the line, a cut & cover underground station and a lunching shaft, from where the tunnel boring machines (TBM) will start drilling a pair of tunnels to Carlebach underground station.
Lewinsky station, located about 8m below ground, will be open-air with a partial roofing system of concrete struts to brace the reinforced concrete retaining walls either side.
