Itamar Netzer
Structural Engineer, R&D Lead
Itamar joined Kedmor as a Project Engineer in 2020, following several years of research at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He has since furthered his interest in the design of tall buildings, steel and composite structures, bridges, and seismic design.
Noteworthy projects include the design of the Great Ruaha River Bridge in Tanzania, a 133m incrementally launched, steel plate-girder bridge; structural design review of Bridge 6400, a seismically isolated light-rail bridge, on the Haifa-Nazareth LRT line; the rehabilitation of the Namir Arches Bridge, a steel-riveted arch bridge over the Yarkon River in Tel-Aviv; the Abiola-Onijemo Bridge in Nigeria, and the scheme design of several prominent high-rise towers.
Itamar holds a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. cum laude from the Technion. His research, co-authored with Prof. Oren Lavan, was published in the Journal of Structural Engineering, and focused on damped outrigger optimization of tall buildings under stochastic seismic excitations. For his Master’s thesis, Itamar was the recipient of the Best Dissertation in the Field of Structural Engineering award. While at the Technion, Itamar taught several advanced structural design courses, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
On a personal note, Itamar is an avid fan of American Football and enjoys reading world history, non-fiction literature, and biographies.
