Structural design of three, 13-storey residential towers with a shared basement car park.
The three towers are of reinforced concrete, flat slab construction and connected by two, 3-storey low-rise buildings with movement joints. Transfer structure was required at ground floor to accommodate the change of column grid to maximise the number of parking spaces. Cantilever feature balconies were designed to limit long term deflections to allow for extensive use of glazing.
As the complex is in close proximity to the sea, a piled foundation solution was considered appropriate.
